Tadashi Moriyama makes painting and animation. He was born and raised in Japan. He grew up practicing Japanese sumi ink calligraphy and Soto Zen meditation with his father. 

 

Moriyama moved to US in 2001 and studied art at Tyler School of Art and University of Pennsylvania. He lived in Philadelphia, New York and Los Angeles before moving Chipping Norton, UK in 2021. 

 

Moriyama draws inspiration from Science Fiction and Sacred Geometry found in nature and cities, as well as medieval paintings and philosophies from around the world. He makes artworks celebrate being the citizen of the earth.
