I started this series while living in New York, where I found myself endlessly mesmerized by the towering high-rises. What struck me most was the contrast between the vertical intensity of the city and the moments where nature quietly interrupts it — along the edges of the East River, and the quiet greenery of Central Park in the heart of Midtown.
There was something deeply moving about that coexistence, a sense of emptiness and stillness at the eye of a fast-moving storm of civilization.
This feeling continues to guide the series. At its center, an oval blue lake emerges, calm and reflective, surrounded by layered structures that seem to lean inward toward it. The water becomes a pause, a breath — a place of introspection held within the rhythm of the city. Creating these works puts me in a serene, meditative state, reminding me that stillness can exist even in the most dynamic environments.
In the end, I want this to be a symbol of shared humanity. Amid intersecting forms, shifting lines, and rising geometry, it reflects our collective need for balance and connection — a quiet meeting point where the constructed and the organic come together in harmony.
